Wow, what an end to an amazing tournament. The Villanova Wildcats proved that their lights out three point shooting was too much for any team to defend, as they easily defeated the Michigan Wolverines 79-62. The biggest surprise from this game was the outstanding 31pt, 3 ast, 5 reb game from backup G Donte DiVincenzo. He was given the “Most Outstanding Player” of the Final Four award after this breathtaking performance and overall great play throughout these past two games. This result gives Villanova their 2nd championship in 3 years (under Coach Jay Wright), with 3 overall in school history.
