NFL Wild Card Predictions

It’s that time of the year again, NFL fans!! The much anticipated first week of the postseason, wild card weekend. Here are my NFL wild card predictions for this season:

AFC:

4 seed: Kansas City Chiefs v. 5 seed: Tennessee Titans

Prediction – Chiefs soundly defeat the inexperienced Titans side 24-9 in front of the rowdy Arrowhead Stadium home crowd. There is no denying the dramatic fall off of form the KC defense has faced as the season has progressed, but they will show their worth against a Titans offense that finds it hard to get in the end zone.

3 seed: Jacksonville Jaguars v. 6 seed: Buffalo Bills

Prediction: The Jags edge this back and forth contest 17-14. Jacksonville is clearly the better of the two sides, but this being Buffalo’s first playoff game in 2 decades will energize the team as a whole and rise their level of play, to compete in this game.

NFC:

4 seed: New Orleans Saints v. 5 seed: Carolina Panthers

Prediction: New Orleans beats their division rivals at home by a score of 35-24. I have this as a high scoring game, as both teams have high powered offenses that enjoy getting themselves 7 points whenever they are on the field. QB Drew Brees will showcase his experience and guide his young team to this crucial victory.

3 seed: Los Angeles Rams v. 6 seed: Atlanta Falcons

Prediction: The Rams soundly beat the Falcons 27-10. HC Sean McVay’s energy will resonate with everyone on this inexperienced Rams team and will motivate them to make a mockery of the reigning Super Bowl runner-ups on their home field.
