I am happy to say that my predictions made on the last post were all correct! Let’s discuss this extremely intriguing matchup between the (1) Villanova Wildcats and (3) Michigan Wolverines for the 2018 NCAA Basketball National Championship!
I believe the Wildcats will win this game narrowly 84-78 against a determined Michigan team. Their perimeter and three point shooting is the best we’ve ever seen in the history of college basketball, and the Wolverines’ defense hasn’t proven to be strong enough to sustain this offensive powerhouse, by any means. If Michigan wants to win this game, they will need stars, such as Mo Wagner to continue their high scoring ways, while being able to somehow control this Nova team from hitting a three.
Let’s hope this championship game will be one for the history books and can come even somewhat close to Villanova’s championship two years ago against the University of North Carolina.
