After game 7 of one of, if not the most thrilling World Series of all time, the Houston Astros have won their first title in franchise history. George Springer won the Willie Mays World Series MVP Award, after his phenomenal performance overall, as well as being the only player in baseball history to homer in four straight WS games. In their dominant playoff run, the Astros also became the first team in MLB history to win pennants in both the NL and AL, after knocking off the New York Yankees in the ALCS. This is the first sign of possibly many more titles coming Houston’s way, after decades of mediocre teams in the past.
